PLEASE READ THIS BULLETIN CAREFULLY AND SHARE IT WITH ANY MEMBER OF YOUR OFFICE WHO USES THE RLI PORTAL.
RLI is changing the manner in which you log on to the RLI Specialty markets Home Page. Today, as an RLI Producer, you and everyone in your office, logs on to the RLI Specialty Markets Homepage via a shared Agent ID/User Name (in the form of 04045-99999), and uses a shared password. Currently, the log-in information is the same for everyone in your office.
RLI IS GOING TO BE CHANGING THE SHARED PASSWORD SYSTEM TO A UNIQUE USER ID FOR EACH PERSON IN YOUR OFFICE.
Very soon, as users from your agency attempts to log on to the RLI system using your current Agent ID/User Name, each user will be notified that they need to change to a “Unique User ID.” This Unique User ID will be each individual user’s own business email address. Users will then be asked to follow the prompts to set up their own individual ID and password. This is necessary to access the RLI system for all future log on attempts.
Next, users will receive a confirmation email. The new Unique User ID Log-In will not be active until each user clicks on the link contained in the email. Please note: Unique User ID setup can take up to 15 minutes to process and receive the email. We strongly recommend that you to set some time aside to go through the process before you actually need to use the system on the day of the change.
All current functionality within the RLI system remains the same. This change only affects the User ID and Password for the PUP Access Log-In. For example, multiple users within one office can access all the business assigned to that Producer Number. There is no limit to the number of individuals who can be signed in at one time.
In addition, to help manage this new process, you will also sign up for “Self-Service Password Reset.” You will set up your own security question and answer, and then be able to reset your own password in the event of a lock-out. You will have the ability to reset your own password immediately from your desktop. This will eliminate the need to contact your RLI Administrator for any type of password reset.
If you have access to the PUP product, and/or the Home Business Insurance product, you will be required to establish the Unique User ID as outlined above. This Unique User ID process should be simple to use with a smooth transition. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions about this process or the upcoming change.
